Heart Catheterization

A heart catheterization (heart cath) is a procedure in which a thin, flexible tube is inserted through a blood vessel in the wrist or groin to examine the heart and its arteries. It helps identify blockages, evaluate blood flow and heart pressures, and determine whether treatment, such as angioplasty or stent placement, is needed.

Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) is a procedure used to open narrowed or blocked coronary arteries and improve blood flow to the heart. A thin catheter is inserted through a blood vessel, usually in the wrist or groin, and a balloon and often a stent are used to restore blood flow. PCI is commonly performed to treat heart attacks or relieve symptoms caused by coronary artery disease.

Peripheral Angioplasty and Stenting

Peripheral Angioplasty and Stenting is a procedure used to open narrowed or blocked arteries outside the heart, most commonly in the legs. A catheter with a small balloon is used to widen the artery, and a stent may be placed to help keep it open and improve blood flow. It can help relieve leg pain and improve circulation.

Intravascular Lithotripsy

Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) is a procedure used to treat severely calcified (hardened) arteries. A special balloon catheter delivers sound pressure waves to break up calcium within the artery wall, making it easier to expand the artery and place a stent when needed.

Percutaneous Thrombectomy

Percutaneous Thrombectomy is a minimally invasive procedure that removes blood clots from blood vessels using a catheter inserted through the skin. It helps restore blood flow and may be used to treat blocked arteries or veins, depending on the location and cause of the clot.

Vein Ablation and Stenting

Vein Ablation and Stenting are minimally invasive procedures used to treat vein problems. Vein ablation closes abnormal veins, commonly to treat varicose veins and venous reflux, while venous stenting places a small mesh tube in a narrowed or blocked vein to improve blood flow.

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI)

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat a narrowed aortic valve (aortic stenosis). A replacement valve is delivered through a catheter, usually inserted through an artery in the groin, to improve blood flow from the heart to the body without open-heart surgery.

Cholesterol care

Cholesterol Care focuses on managing cholesterol levels to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. It includes cholesterol testing, lifestyle changes, and medications when needed to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and protect cardiovascular health.

Blood pressure care

Blood Pressure Care focuses on measuring, monitoring, and managing blood pressure to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney disease. Care may include lifestyle changes, regular blood pressure checks, and medications when needed.

Stress test

Stress Test evaluates how your heart performs during physical exercise or medication-induced stress. It helps identify reduced blood flow to the heart, assess exercise tolerance, and detect potential heart problems.

Echocardiography

Echocardiography is an ultrasound test that uses sound waves to create images of your heart. It evaluates heart structure, pumping function, valves, and blood flow to help diagnose and monitor heart conditions.

Vascular ultrasound

Vascular Ultrasound is a noninvasive test that uses sound waves to evaluate blood flow through arteries and veins. It helps detect narrowed or blocked blood vessels, blood clots, and circulation problems.
